We need safe-haven shelters for homeless unaccompanied youth and this would be a priority of mine- funding and support to these sorts of shelters needs to happen.

Youth access to mental health services without parental consent is crucial for those who may be in an abusive household or possibly being raped or sexually abused. Minors deserve options free of judgement as sometimes parents/guardians can be the most detrimental to the mental health of our youth. Less access to these services leads to runaway issues, medical issues, and potentially higher rates of depression and suicide.
